| May 25 Shep students and alumni leave for Nordegg and a great Canoe Epic adventure. The group arrived and set up camp and soon set onto the river for some practice. After some great eddy turns the crew returned to shore for dinner. | |
| Their reward, Tuna Casserole ALA Jones with a little broccoli cheese rice. I did make them cheese cake to make up for dinner. Then the rain, lightning and thunder. This was one of the best storms I have ever seen. We got a little concerned as lightning was striking the hills all around so we took cover in the vans. As you can guess we are all OK. | |
The next morning we packed up and headed out. We arrived at our camp spot for the night after about 3 hours of easy paddling in the sun. |
| The Lunch of bagels, cheese, sausage with soup seemed to be enjoyed by all, as no
one complained to the cook (The cook is 6'6" 250 lbs.) |
After some relaxing time on shore, we did a little eddy turn practice.
| Sunday we paddled for about 3 hours enjoying the sun waves and scenery. What a great weekend. |
