Biology 20 field trip to Elk Island

Aventis Biotech challenge competition at the University of Alberta.

All project teams performed very well. The judges had a difficult time ranking them, since they were all exceptional. In fact, all students who took part in the contest won several things; the sense of accomplishment for a lab project well done, an excellent addition to their resume and scholarship applications and a few have obtained summer jobs in science research labs! Congratulations to them all!

The final decision of the judges·

Second place ($1500): Kathryn Lennon, Shannon Arseneau, Nancy Lambert
Third place ($1,000): Haley Sapers, Donell Laughton, Joanne Baergen
Fourth place ($750): Thomson Leung, David Barer, Alex Lam
