Congratulations to the Ross Sheppard Track team, we had 47 out of 100 athletes qualify for cities, and as a result 9 athletes represented our school in the Provincial Track & Field meet held at Foote Field. Congratulations to Courtney Wilkes who represented our school in 80m hurdles and pole vault; she placed first in pole vault. Michelle Moen added two gold medals in the 1500m and 3000m events. Renee Hrycyschyn, Teddi King, Katie Hudson, and Nikki Turner placed second in the 4x100m relay. It was one of the most exciting relays to witness; the girls won silver by a split second photo finish. Kelly Mackenzie won silver in an amazing 400m race, breaking the minute mark. Ali Leithoff placed third in high jump, clearing 1.53m. Nikki Turner placed 5th in the 1500m intermediate girls run, Katie Hudson placed 6th in the 800m event, and finally, Kristina Schesnuk threw 27.8 m in the discus event placing 7th overall. The coaching staff would like to thank and to congratulate all the athletes who showed excellent commitment, dedication, and desire in competing for our double blue team.
