SHEP TRACK & FIELD

An early sign-up meeting was held on Thursday, January 14th for all interested Shep Tracksters. Information on this years' Journal Games (Saturday, March 20th) and the upcoming season was given. The last two seasons, Shep finished 2nd overall in the City Championship as well as winning TWO DIVISIONAL titles. Shep also showed great gains in events such as the 400m & 4 x 400m Relay events, previously dominated by other schools.

"Shep Girls Win Gold"
Journal Games '99

Ross Sheppard was well represented in the 1999 Journal Games held March 20th at the University Pavilion. Under the leadership and inspiration of Diana Mannerow, Shep girls ran to a spectacular gold medal finish in the 8 X 200 m. relay - a first for Ross Sheppard. Our two boys teams had respectable 8th and 10th place finishes.

Other individual event runners include Abby Kerr (4th in the 800 m), Robyn Standring (5th in the 800 m), Lee Graham, and Jonathon Crane (800 m).
