Using the Digital Camera to add Pictures to your Web Page


  When you have finished this project, you will be able to:
add digital pictures to your Web page
use a digital camera
use the digital camera software

  1. Create a new folder called Digital Pictures. Save all files associated with this project in this folder.

  2. Ask your teacher for the digital camera. You will need to leave your ID Card or Driver's License.

  3. Use the digital camera to take some pictures. Your Web page for this assignment will require:
  4. Return to the computer lab and download the pictures from the camera.

  5. Instructions for this process can be found in the PPI "Downloading Your Images From the Agfa Camera" which is at the Digital Imaging workstation, or you can print your own copy by clicking here.

  6. Once you have downloaded your images, return to your own workstation.

  7. Start a web page as you usually would. Save the file.

  8. Use the image source tag to add the three required images to your Web page.

  9. Check the page to ensure the pictures appear properly.

  10. Next add some appropriate, meaningful content to your page based on what you have learned about HTML scripting.

  11. Turn one of the pictures into an image map. Be sure to indicate the picture that is an image map on your Web page.

  12. Use one of the pictures as a Web link; that is use it with the A HREF tag to make it a clickable link.

  13. The third picture can be a used without links.

  14. Test and revise the page as necessary.

  16. Save the project folder in your "Hand In" folder on your personal disk space so that this project can be graded.
