Student Learning Guide
COM3130 Final Project

1. Create a Web page that uses all new material that demonstrates your knowledge of Web page design and layout and consists of the following:
   • a personal Web page that links to
     • a Web page that you create for a not-for-profit organization
     • a commercial Web page that you create
     • a cultural or ethnic Web page that you create
     • illustrate and explain a story or short poem
     • an Adobe Acrobat PDF document
       
       
2. You must demonstrate proficiency in:
   • design and layout
   • use of fonts
   • use of a variety of formatting options
   • at least one of the pages should use frames
   • suitable use of graphics, icons, and pictures
   • ease of navigation on the entire Web site
   • use of Flash, Adobe Acrobat, and Visual Page
   • the Web site must include an on-line site map
     
     
3. Note that all of the items listed above must be content that you have not used before.
   
   
4. You will be marked on the originality and creativity of your Web page as well as the design and layout.
   
   
5. Mount your Web page on a Web Hosting Service when it is complete.

7. Using "Notepad" write the URL of your web page so your teacher will know where to find it on the net.
   
   
8. Save the "Notepad" text document in you project folder calling it "URL"
   
   
9. When you have completed this project, place the project folder in the "Hand In" folder of your personal disk space.
