Using a Rotation Motion

	When you have finished this project, you will be able to:
	describe how to create a rotation action
	create a motion rotation for a symbol

1. Create a new folder called Flash Rotation on your personal drive space. Save everything to do with this project in that folder.
   
   
2. Start a new project in Flash.
   
   
3. Set the frame speed to 36 and the movie size to 800 by 200 pixels.
   
   
4. Use the font tool to type your name:
   • set the text color to green
   • set the text size to 24
   • make the text bold
   • use the font Arial
     
     
5. Convert the text to a symbol.
   
   
6. Name the layer Rotating Text.
   
   
7. Save this project as Flash Rotation.
   
   
8. Insert a key frame so the movie will run for 4 seconds.
   
   
9. Create the motion tween to move the text from the top left corner to the bottom right corner of the stage.
   
   
10. Right click on key frame 1 to open the Frame Properties window. Click on the Tweening tab.
    
    
    
    
11. Set the Rotate to Clockwise and the number of times to 5. Click the OK button.
    
    
12. You can experiment with different settings when you have this one working
    
    
13. Save and play your movie.
    
    
14. Now, create a movie that uses a rotation and a motion guide for two separate symbols:
    • text that rotates into position
    • a shape that follows a motion guide
    • the text will stop on top of the shape
