Using the Digital Camera to add Pictures to your Web Page


  When you have finished this project, you will be able to:
add digital pictures to your Web page
use a digital camera
use the digital camera software

  1. Create a new folder called Digital Pictures. Save all files associated with this project in this folder.

  2. Ask your teacher for the digital camera. You will need to leave your ID Card or Driver's License.

  3. If you do not know how to use the camera, your teacher will give you a quick demonstration on how to use the camera.

  4. Use the digital camera to take some pictures. Try to make your pictures appear proffesional. (Take your time and make the pictures have meaning)
    However do not spend more time than is necissary out of the classroom. (In other words, Get the job done and return to class)

    Your Web page for this assignment will require:

    • a picture of a person
    • a picture of an outdoor scene
    • a picture of your choice

  5. Return to the computer lab and download the pictures from the camera.

  6. Instructions for this process can be found in the PPI "Downloading Your Images From the Agfa Camera" which is at the Digital Imaging workstation.

  7. Once you have downloaded your images to your Digital Pictures personal folder (return to your own workstation to continue with this project, .

  8. Use "Visual Page" to create a new Web page called "Digital Camera".(Save this in your Digital Pictures Folder)

  9. In addition to a heading, add the three pictures, with captions, to your Web page. Describe the pictures, by telling a story or indicating it's purpose.

  10. View your Web page in a browser to view the page to ensure the pictures appear properly.

  11. Use one of the pictures as a Web link; that is use the "Link to" . . . to make the image a clickable link. (Make sure that there is text indication that the picture is a link and where itis going.

  12. The third picture can be a used without links.

  13. View and revise the page as necessary to create a well designed web page.
