JUNIOR MEN'S T-BIRDS TAKE SILVER!!!! Junior Men's had an awesome 6 wins - 0 losses season and lost only by 1 point to Jasper Place in the city final to get a Silver Medal for the season (Slideshow). Behind 4-1 they showed great determination and skill and they still persisted. In the last 15 minutes of the game they closed the making two excellently placed goals making the score 4-3 and the boys still had lots of momentum (Hey, I AM a physics teacher!). Unfortunately the clock ran out before they could take the lead.. Overall and excellent season boys! Thank you to Coach Hamm for his time and mentorship. Senior Men were surprizingly knocked out of the play-downs in a loss against Edmonton Christian after a very good regular season. The men had lots of fun this year (but the grade 12s perhaps has a little TOO much fun on Grad weekend... eh? I'm trying to change it to a NO-Monday game.) Anyway... I REALLY enjoyed watching all the games. You guys are quite talented players, indeed. Thanks to Coaches David Milham and Scott Schuarman and sponsor Mr. Harcott for all of their time and effort.
SOCCER INTRAMURALS ARE VERY HIGH ENERGY (NOTICE... this last game was way to rough. People are going to get hurt with pushing into the wall/bleachers, slide tackles etc. It started to be more under control at the end of the game. I don't want to be the "heavy" here, but individuals have other soccer commitments or just don't want to be in pain. So... keep it clean... keep it safe. OK? Remember... this is for FUN!) This last Tuesday saw team 2 (Futballers) meet team 1 (A.C. United). The Futballers has a 5-1 lead by halfway through the game but A.C. United were finallly able to control their frustration and refocus and work as a team... they WON in the last minute of the game with a 6-1 victory. Last Tuesday's action had team 1 (A.C. United) win over team 4 (Wertical) and team 2 (Futballers) beating team 3 (Euro Club) with both being very passionate games. It appears the competition is going to be tough. HAVE FUN YOU GUYS! So... I THINK the standings are: AC United (3) vs Wertical (2) AC United (6) vs Futballers (5)

As I shoot a few of the other games, I will put up the slideshows here. Also, I will have an ARCHIVE of past years.
RULE... unless you hear from a coach or the manager that a game has been cancelled or rained out, the ONLY reason not to show up is if the fields are officially closed according to the online annnouncement for Edmonton (after the 4:00PM update), or telephone the proper area. Otherwise show up at the field regardless of the weather.... or else we default the game!
